The Department of Communities is collaborating with Peet Limited to deliver a vibrant new affordable apartment development at 195 Pier Street (Lot 52).
The Pier Street development, now known as Folio195, is set to add diversity to the local area and will help to give Western Australians better access to affordable housing close to where they work and play.
The development is part of Communities' METRONET Social and Affordable Housing and Jobs Package – a major investment in housing aimed at building liveable and connected communities close to transport infrastructure.
Folio195 is a 27-storey development containing 186 apartments and an active ground floor and associated residential amenities, with excellent transport links within the emerging eastern end of the Perth CBD.
Approximately 70 per cent of apartments will be available for private sale, 15 per cent for sale through the State Government's shared equity program and the remaining 15 per cent allocated for social housing.
Folio195 represents a unique opportunity to create a modern, integrated vertical community and is set to add diversity to the local population within the ‘Stirling Precinct’ in the City of Perth.
The development will trial the latest innovative initiatives such as a car share service for residents and the local community, powered parking bays and a communal garden in the roof space.
Construction is planned to start around mid-2021, with an expected two-year construction period.
