The Housing Authority recognises that its customers and tenants come from a range of backgrounds. All customers are entitled to a professional interpreter to assist them when interacting with the Housing Authority.
Housing Authority offices in the metropolitan area offer regular interpreting times as follows:
- Bosnian/Serbian/Croatian
Mirrabooka Office – Wednesday, 9.30am to 11.30am
- Somalian
Mirrabooka – Monday, 2.00pm to 4.00pm
Cannington – Tuesday 12.00noon to 2.00pm
- Vietnamese
Mirrabooka – Monday, 10.00am to12.00noon
- Farsi/Dari
Mirrabooka – Tuesday, 10.00am to12.00noon
- Khmer
Victoria Park – Friday, 10.00am to 12.00noon
Alternatively, you can telephone WA Interpreters on (08) 9361 3284 to use an interpreter over the phone or to book an interpreter to attend an interview in person. You can also go into a Housing Authority office to arrange for an interpreter to assist you.
