A COVID-19 Community Housing Rent Relief Grant is available to eligible community housing providers that froze rent payable increases during the entire COVID-19 Emergency Period or that intend to credit tenants/occupants for all rent payable increases applied during this period.
The COVID-19 Emergency Period was from 30 March 2020 to 28 March 2021.
To be eligible, the provider must be a community housing organisation or local government authority that:
- provides social or affordable housing (including Community Disability Housing Program housing) or Transitional Accommodation under contract with the Housing Authority in the Department of Communities; and
- sets rent by reference to income.
Applications close at 4:00PM AWST on Friday 16 July 2021.
